Locations: Greenbelt, MD & Gaithersburg, MD

 

Work at a 50-year-old joint commission accredited nonprofit with 15 locations in Maryland. These locations are located throughout Montgomery and northern Prince George’s County. A nonprofit focused on community health treating the medically underserved.

Close to Washington, D.C., this organization serves a diverse patient population despite citizenship or ability to pay. Patients include native speakers of Amharic, Arabic, French, Somali, and Spanish (the latter being predominant).

 

And patients are offered medical, dental, and mental health services. They are also offered a supplemental nutrition program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and refugee health assessments.

Requirements

• Must be in possession of a valid license to practice medicine in the State of MD

• Maryland CDS and DEA licenses

• Have a thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of medicine and allied services commensurate with his/her training

• Demonstrate a special interest in the area of community medicine

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

• Ability to relate to culturally diverse patients and community
